Sales Development Representative is a SaaS technology company in the cyber safety space that protects children from harmful online content at school, at home and everywhere in between. The company is a publicly traded organization listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and a dominant Education provider in the Australian and New Zealand markets. School Districts in the USA are required to have Family Zone’s category of products by law and the solution is designed specifically for K-12 use. Family Zone’s market share is rapidly expanding in the sizable and dynamic US market and due to this accelerating growth the company is looking for ambitious professionals that want to rapidly grow their career and make an impact to our business.


The SDR (Sales Development Representative) role is the beginning of the sales career progression program at In this role, you will be on the front line, representing our brand to the market in an outbound modality leveraging modern sales technologies. It will introduce you to our sales process and methodology, industry language, tech stack, product positioning, persona types, goal planning and execution strategies that will prepare you for a more senior sales role once you’ve mastered the above. This role focuses on “top of funnel” and has a major impact on our bottom line.

Primary Job Tasks

  • You will call, send emails, grow your LinkedIn presence and build relationships while introducing our solution to K-12 technology staff. The goal is to have engaging conversations with prospective clients that lead to an in-person or remote meeting via Zoom.
  • Build a relationship and partner with our sales executives to execute on their pipeline generation goals aligned with net-new sales targets
  • Learn the job functions of our prospective buyers and communicate how our platform makes their lives easier
  • Travel to national trade shows to showcase our platform in-person
  • Use and maintain modern sales tech tools such as CRM, 1:1 video software, sales engagement platforms and G Suite
  • Learn! Read, listen to podcasts, research what the best in the industry do and execute on modern strategies to keep us competitive in the market place
  • Consistently hit and exceed your numbers


  • 6 months of SDR or phone sales experience preferably with software or a technical product
  • The ability to communicate clearly and precisely
  • Extremely strong listening skills
  • Proficiency in typing
  • Disciplined time management
  • Desire to rapidly grow your sales career
