Free filtering & screen visibility tools to support remote learning - COVID-19 response

Family Zone Education is offering free tools to ensure students are safe online and focused on learning while at home, for Australian & New Zealand schools have adopted remote learning programs due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

More than 290 million students across the globe have been disrupted by school closures in reaction to the spread of COVID-19. All signs indicate we are heading towards a similar situation Down Under, in what will be uncharted territory for education in Australia and New Zealand. In the case of wide-scale remote learning, it will be a huge challenge ensuring your students can continue to receive their tuition at home in a safe and focussed manner. Maintaining duty of care on school-managed devices is also a concern we have heard from schools.

In the event of schools shifting to online learning, Family Zone Education would like to support these efforts by offering schools our cloud/agent-based filtering service at no cost on school-managed devices until the end of Term 2, 2020. This will ensure students are protected while attending lessons at home, on a potentially unfiltered home network. Furthermore, to empower teachers to drive better outcomes during online lessons, we are also offering Family Zone Classwize for no cost. Classwize gives teachers screen visibility and control of all devices in class, ensuring your students will remain focussed on their learning during remote lessons.

If you are interested in this offer click here and follow the instructions - please note, to assess your suitability you may need input from your IT department when completing the online form.

Family Zone is determined to help protect Australian & New Zealand students and help support the school community as much as possible during this challenging time. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.Protect & focus school-owned devices sent home

When you are looking to transition to a Distance Learning or Home Study environment, whether intentionally or unintentionally, having the tools and resources your teachers need is key to an effective rollout. Planning for potential school closures our move to Linewize by Family Zone and the use of Classwize as a management tool is something that gives us comfort and an ease of use that is seamless for teachers and parents. Linewize by Family Zone's Classwize is a tool with such a low threshold for adoption, it was one of our key requests from teachers that we support them on - and this is our first year with the tool. We feel comfortable with the Classwize tool as part of our remote learning plan.
