Back to School with Family Zone

You remembered the backpack and the biros. Now don't forget the cyber safety!

Did the school holidays fly by in sunscreen-scented haze of picnics and playdates? Or was it the ‘longest shortest time’ -  juggling too much work with too little childcare? Did you wake up last week and think, “Oh no! School is starting in a week?!” … or “Yesss! School is starting in a week!”

There’s one thing that unites all mum and dads at the start of a new school year, and that’s preparation anxiety.

Back in the day, parents only had to worry about uniforms, labels, booklists and stationery. Today, we can add price-y personal devices to the list - the tablets, laptops or smartphones schools increasingly require (and our kids increasingly demand).

But wait! There’s more ...

Or so there should be. Because parental controls are an absolute must-have on every device your child has access to.

The research is increasingly clear on this one: it’s is a big mistake to leave kids to their own devices. Inappropriate content - from porn to violence to risky social apps - needs to be blocked at all times.

Other types of content will need to be filtered depending on your child’s age and timetable. (Gaming or videos may be fine during playtime, for example, but not when there’s homework due.)

And then there’s sleep. Study after study has shown kids need to be entirely screen-free for a minimum of one hour before bedtime to ensure quality, and quantity, of restful sleep.

Family Zone is the simple-to-use parental control solution that allows you to do all of this, and more - protecting your kids from online risks so they can live their digital lives in the happiest, healthiest and safest way possible.
